  • This is more renowned for the foliage spots you would expect, but it's really a lot more. South Koreans are finding a lot of Japanese people there looked to its own section is very detrimental to the person who has it is ㅠ ㅠ

  • The architecture here isn't as impressive as other temples, but the huge quantity of maple trees, winding trails, and great views make this a lovely spot especially during the fall. The walk to get he...  more »

  • The best place for maple leaves watching. It's quiet, peaceful and when you walk to the top you can actually overlook the whole Kyoto city. Entrance fee is ¥400 per person. Totally worthy.
  • This quiet little temple complex would be easy to overlook but you would find the short walk getting here well worth the effort. I visited many temples during Golden Week but I was most impressed with the simplicity and natural beauty of this place. The surrounding gardens are well laid out and not over tended. So many places have swarms of workers really overdoing the groundskeeping. This garden is in great condition but not overdone and very natural looking.
  • You can see classic temple and nice view of Narashiyama at once at here. I love this calm place.
  • A wonderful garden to get lost in.
  • A very quiet and beautiful temple.
