Jisyu Shrine, Kyoto
(3.8/5 based on 130+ reviews on the web)
Those who have romantic worries of all varieties might want to take a chance on Jisyu Shrine. Dubbed “the Cupid of Japan,” the shrine has served love-seekers for 1,300 years, allowing visitors to pray for help from various gods, either to fend off love rivals or increase the longevity of a current relationship. If you're seeking true love, however, you'll have to traverse the space between two magical "love stones" with your eyes closed. Legend has it that if you manage to find the second stone, placed 10 m (32.8 ft) from the first, your wishes for love will be granted. Jisyu Shrine is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our world travel planner, Kyoto Edition.

  • Jishu shrine after seeing the stage of Kiyomizu-dera Temple is known as the marriage is. After I saw the stage with Otowa falls is Shimizu tourism course. Love divination rock is highlights of the shrine.

  • It was a lively history older than the Qing water temple originally existed in the shrine, honden, haiden and main gate are provided nationally, but I like theme park. Pay the admission fee of Kiyomizu-dera of Kiyomizu-dera Temple, so you can visit.
