  • Got into the garden quite unexpectedly. Was cool weather and we wanted to visit the Museum, who met us on the way. And what joy we managed to try with the first steps of a visit to this garden! The beauty of surrounding nature in combination with nakryvajushhimi us periodically clouds created the impression of a paradisiacal place. Not the Earth, and the sky was beside us, and coupled with unusually beautiful flowers the Japanese spring. Those plants already flowering on the plain, the celestial garden shined. And Impressionist paintings and duplicate their flower paintings created the strongest impression. It is a pity that this garden-Museum very little information on the Internet. This corner of Kyoto produces a very strong impression and tourists, particularly visitors to Japan in the summer, there is sure to be enjoyed. I am very grateful to the people who created this miracle at the top of the mountain. So I want to visit there at other times of the year.

  • So come see me tomorrow,"I said. Said while watching the scenery in the movie hero of the tough heroine scene of EMI to Miss 'em. Front entrance gate and go up to the top by ropeway views come out exactly what film and pass it. Lake Biwa, including one in Panorama worth looking at and. However, I'm not caught immediately because of loose hands and scampered the ropeway is ready in 30 minutes to exit.

  • Great place to relax or having a nice walk. You can come from Kyoto with cablecar and ropecar and you can continue your journey to the buddhist temples on Mount Hiezan. The whole garden, restaurant and shop is French style, they recreated a few beautiful spots after Monet's paintings! The panorama is beautiful, you can see Kyoto, Otsu and Biwa Lake from above. Check their website, if they have night illumination or another activities.
  • Garden museum has many kind and number of flowers. But is is not end. You can see the largest lake in the japan named Biwa. It is so beautiful.
  • For me, this is the greatest place in Shiga. Open only during the summer season, but worth going there especially in the nighttime.
  • This is the best place to see both Kyoto-fu and Shiga-ken, and of course the Lake Biwa. And i recommend you to have a stroll outside the Garden Museum itself. Take the footpath from the Garden to Enryakuji. Fell the tranquility of the forest, do not talk, just walk and enjoy.
  • Very nice and enjoyable. Best in spring to see the flowers.

Where to stay in Kyoto

Kyoto spoils visitors for choice when it comes to good accommodations, offering everything from traditional ryokans to luxury Western-style hotels. In a city used to receiving foreign travelers, you'll find that most establishments know exactly what to offer tourists and how to help newcomers to the area. To avoid paying premium prices during the cherry blossom season, consider staying in Osaka, located just a 30-minute train ride away. If you must stay in Kyoto itself, keep in mind that centrally located hotels charge more than those in the outer neighborhoods.
