  • The Genji Costume Museum is just one room, and other than some clothing and musical instruments it features a meticulously constructed replica of a house described in The Tale of Genji. Unless you are a fan of the novel or want to see Heian-era living in three dimensions, it may not be of interest. Some years ago the museum allowed visitors to dress up in Heian-era clothes, but not anymore it seems. Photography is allowed and admission is 500 yen.
  • high quality!
  • € 5 entry to see costumes on miniatures... ouch ouch! It looks nice anyway because the Japanese have the attention to detail and this is well ^^
