  • We arrived approximately 1330 on a Monday. It is on the second floor. If you don't read Japanese you might not figure that out easily. They only allow a small number of people in at once so we had to ...  more »
  • The first looks at Japan cat caffeine, well. .. South Korea and Japan when compared to the number of cats seemed a little less of the street, but the friendly staff helped the cat seemed to Japan is a far better managed state. Cap estimated the manage two minutes, Grandma's cat to deal with skill, this is terrific. Unbelievably quiet. Peaceful.

  • I went several times during my stay in Kyoto, the staff were very nice and the cats were sweet. Everything was reasonably priced and the atmosphere was really laid back. Once the cats get used to you,...  more »

  • The cats seemed happy and the atmosphere was relaxing. I don't know how friendly other reviewers are expecting the cats to be... they're cats. They seemed pretty happy to come over after a little while, and as the staff will point out, the cats are all really into being patted rather than stroked for some reason.
  • Lots of chubby, older cats who enjoy nice firm pats on the butt. A few will sit on your lap if you keep petting them. I like that these cats here seem like rescued cats and not designer cats (scottish fold, munchkins, etc) like other cat cafes.
  • Its nice that they take care of abandoned cats. My first time in animal cafes was in kyoto and it was not an enjoyable experience. I dont know why i thought people would care for the animals while running a business. This cafe seems to be better than others. The cats wear collars that have created bald strips. When i brought it up they said it is ok. I dont know if they understood me or if they will correct this but i will never visit an animal cafe because it just seems like people are only interested in making money out of poorly treated animals. I really hope they will change their practice and get rid of collars and clothing on their cats as that is not necessary esecially since they have two doors and an elevator so their cats most definitely cannot escape into traffic. They do have a set of rules for people to follow and that was nice. i believe maybe they want the best for their cats but just dont realize collars and clothing are not good for their cats. I really hope that is the case but i will never give money to pet cafes again.
  • Cat are treated really well, but all cats are, I don't know if too old or just pish off with so many visitors that doesn't like to play with you 😯. Nice to visit but I would not come back.
  • Family owned cat cafe in Kyoto, Japan. Very homey feel and thirteen lovely cats to play with. All very friendly and sociable and they love to be patted hard on their backs! The family that owns the cafe is lovely and it is clear that they adore cats. All of their cats were abandoned rescue animals that they brought into their home instead of getting pure breed cats for the cafe. Thoroughly enjoyable and truly lovely. Any cat lover simply must attend!
