Nabana no Sato, Kuwana

4.3
#1 of 109 in Parks in Mie Prefecture
Garden Nature / Park
If you find yourself in the Mie prefecture from October to early May, don’t miss a visit to Nabana no Sato, a famous illumination and flower park in Kuwana city. Around 8 million colorful LED lights decorate the park, with each winter season featuring a different theme. Stroll through the spectacular, 200 m (656 ft) long light tunnel and admire the Sakura tunnel, adorned with pink lights that resemble cherry blossoms. If you visit from late spring to fall, however, you can enjoy the flower gardens, boasting striking colors that change with the seasons. • A must for Ichiban-no-Sato is no winter illuminations. On the other hand, summer flowers at least isn't lackluster but undeniable. However, only the core facility of the harvest Begonia garden is different. Tuned to the low temperature, in contrast to the intense outdoor Begonia growers in the hotel was very comfortable. And you can enjoy the stunning Begonia located throughout the room even in midsummer. Attractions are enough brightly coloured Begonias or even great large-flowered Begonias that I know well and the different flowers and some lovely flowers of unusual shape. No illumination of the season not to be missed as the Begonia garden.

  • In the Tokai region only TripAdvisor's "alien to popular tourist spots" offers are ranked TOP30. I felt certainly have increased recently with foreign customers. June enjoyed Firefly and hydrangea and irises. Is that starting this year is 10/14.

  • A great place to visit in spring when the tulips are on display. I visited here with my partner in spring 2015 and the park itself has a great display of different flowers and trees. A great place for...  more »

  • It is a huge garden with lots of beautiful flowers and illumination. It will take around 1 hour to walk around the garden. And around 30 minutes to go through the tunnels and see the show after 6pm We are luncky to meet sakura in March and not lucky because the tulip are not blooming yet. Ticket costs 2300 with 2 (500) food vouchers. We arrived a bit early, 3 pm. I think we should have come after 4.30 so that we did not stay doing nothing untill 6. The advantage of coming earlier is you can park close to the gate or you have to park away from it. Ooh if you love plant, a huge flower market just next to the parking (the one in front of the gate)
  • Light up in nabana no sato
  • A bit out of nagoya, very picturesque with the winter lights festival. A bit expensive as you pay entry (2300 and you get 1000 yen coupons to use) and pay separately for food, rides and gardens (like a theme park).
  • We went to this place together with my place. We took a car, but you can go by bus. The place is really nice. On a stop over, you can visit the Nagashima Spa Land, and from there, you need to take a bus to go to nabana no sato place. You need to buy the ticket and with this ticket, you have 500 Yen coupon that you can use to buy inside.. The illumination is nice, I went there last march and the spring is coming so there are beautiful flowers you can see.. All in all, it is a nice place to visit in Japan..
  • must visit place near nagoya. go during the winter for the lighting display. and muat avoud weekends and holiday. i went on emporor's birthday and the crowd is really shoulder to shoulder. they still move very orderly. take the bus from nagoya station over there.

Where to stay in Kuwana

Take a look near to the main train station for the primary accommodations in Kuwana. The choice remains fairly limited, with business hotels the norm, offering onsite restaurants, pools, and comfortable rooms. Many choose to stay in Nagoya and visit Kuwana as a day excursion, with the larger city to the east having far more accommodations, attractions, restaurants, and nightlife. However, those intent on staying near to Kuwana could look at the island that separates the Ibi and Kiso rivers, where you'll find some well-appointed spa hotels and retreats.
