Akan Lake, Kushiro

(3.8/5 based on 400+ reviews on the web)
Formed by volcanic activities thousands of years ago, Akan Lake plays home to an unusual species of native algae that resemble large green spheres. Part of a national park, the lake draws plenty of visitors thanks to the waterside spa facilities at the nearby resort town of Akankohan. Hike around the lake on the network of walking trails to find several natural oddities, including bubbling mud pools. Alternatively, you can hop aboard a local boat tour to see the lake and the surrounding area from a different perspective. • We visited on a tour of the AKAN bus. Smelt fishing experience, but it was only an hour. Uncle rod to lend kind offered to the fishing. Went to the Office because it was able to happily cook was told Cook time takes 20 minutes. People have a time constraint is important!

  • You stayed at the hotel on the Lakeside walk came to. On the frozen surface of the Lake, there were activities such as quad biking, banana boat, fishing and skating. Had a somewhat deserted because it was comparatively late afternoon of the 3-day weekend could do. Children enjoyed quad biking alone, partly due to cold weather, turned back to the hotel. I think there is a lot more fun, but personally about the engine noise than the quiet winter Lake wanted to enjoy.
