One of the country's most productive hot springs, Yubatake draws visitors with its public baths. After relaxing in the water, stroll along the nearby walking paths or stop at one of the area's shops to purchase traditional Japanese sandals, useful for getting in and out of the open-air baths. 湯畑は一度観ておいたほうが良いかと思います。圧巻の湯量を体感できます。 また、夜のライトアップも素晴らしいです。 It is famous spot of Japanese hot springs. Night time is more beautiful. more »
A very beautiful place. Its in the prime area of the town. You can walk there from many hotels in Kusatsu. Don't think about driving there as there's no parking space. Visit both in the morning... more »
Yes, this is beautiful. Yes, there's lots of steam. The lighting at night is magical. However, it's a fairly small, maybe 200 meter walk around the entire set up. The smell of sulfur is occasionally..... more »
This is a tourist spot. But its true form is a traditional cooling device. To cool natural hot water over 90 ℃ to bath temperature. A large amount of hot water is generated from the ground without interruption, flows up with steam to the extent that the surrounding area crawls, and flows along a wooden fence to form a waterfall. The atmosphere is powerful and fantastic. However, it smells. (-_-;) The smell of sulfur. By the time you get used to this, you will not want to return from here. This intense acidic hot water is so exciting that it only melts aluminum coins in just 3 days, so it's perfect for destroying your athlete's foot. Don't worry if you have weak skin. Because this natural hot spring water contains a very fine mud slurry, it coats your skin. To that end, no one has ever melted and died in this hot spring. …It should be ... In this area, this slurry component is used to create a mysterious color for glass. The wonderful glasswork that has been commercialized will be a perfect souvenir for loved ones. If you have that important person, (゜ ゜) ノ Anyway, you're so bored that you're watching my review like this, so why not come here? "Hot spring wharf" is also delicious. You like sweet things, right?
This was my second visit.. Still like it. A very easy to navigate onsen town. Most of the places in town can be reached within 15 minutes walk. I stayed one night for both visits. Yobatake is the centre of the town. You won't get bored with the view. Have restaurants and shops on both sides. If you are tired of walking, free foot bath just there. So remember to bring small towel along. The reasons why I encourage to stay overnight is that you should not rush through as you have to do onsen hopping and, the night view of Yubatake is totally different. Enjoy!I
Holiday resort for Japanese and tourists alike. This place has so much heritage and awesome things to do. Be sure to try out the free onsen beside the ticketing centre.
After dinner we strolled to. Yubatake to catch the lights on the Hot Springs.
THE YUBATAKE is the symbol of Kusatsu and one of the resort's main sources of hot spring water. In fact, with an output of 5000 liters per minute, the yubatake ranks among Japan's single most productive hot spring sources.
