Yubatake, Kusatsu-machi

One of the country's most productive hot springs, Yubatake draws visitors with its public baths. After relaxing in the water, stroll along the nearby walking paths or stop at one of the area's shops to purchase traditional Japanese sandals, useful for getting in and out of the open-air baths. • Felt around the Yubatake shops (souvenirs, cafeteria, Hotel Inn) unit to contribute to the development of the region, moved to a nice climax.

  • Steam rises from the Yubatake at night is fantastic. Many people day and night. Becoming nine o'clock in the evening and quite noisy izakaya outside shops. Note time to eat dinner outside.

  • It's just an unique place with rich history. It spits out an overpowering surfer odor which fills the surrounding area. This square located in the center of the town is surrounded by gift shops, restaurants, inns, and day spas.
  • Pictures definitely does not do this place justice. A quaint little spa town with beautiful buildings all around the Yubatake these are either ryokans or shops selling knick knacks or local speciality snacks. Strong smell of sulphur in the air due to the nature of the water.
  • Must-see and a great place to walk around during the evening. Main attraction of Kusatsu - enjoy the sights and sulfuric smells. Especially enjoyed the scenery at night (lit up every night).
  • The heart and symbol of Kusatsu. One of the great views and the access to many tourist spots like Sainokawara park and Outdoor onsen. It is also the center of business: souvenir shops, dine, hotel and convinience store.
  • Nice view and Onsen smell, it was very interesting place to visit. Of ourselves you can enjoy Onsen itself and You can also see a performance called "Yumomi ", a method for cooling hot water. Many souvenir stores around here.
