Inspirock Rating:
4.1/5 based on 260+ reviews on the web
The northernmost tip of Okinawa Island, Cape Hedo combines far-reaching ocean views and a rocky coastline. Walk along lush green trails that hug the cliffs' edge, gazing over clear blue water crashing against the rocks. Drop a coin in one of the many boxes to pay tribute to the gods of sea and wind, and look for the white stone sculpture of a mythical creature with the body of a fish and the head of a bird. If you're itching to get into the water, you'll find plenty of good spots for snorkeling and scuba diving. Put Cape Hedo at the forefront of your travel plans using our Kunigami-son vacation trip planner.

  • It's a nice place. There are several overlooks. It's worth going to if you are going to visit other attractions near by.
  • Driving along the coast line of 58 is quite refreshing. After visiting Daiseki-rinzan which gave me good walking in the forest, stretching to the north end of Okinawa Ireland over the cliff Hedo was i...  read more »
  • Even if the weather is as usual, last day have visited Okinawa promontory also had a lot of windy with showers. Even if only one did the weather sunny cloudy weather, well let's take a look at the landscape and of the headland was also herpes. It was an atmosphere similar to a cup of wave headland. 1km from 7.1 m long giant new Observatory, which is also in there, hope any headland.

  • A bit of a drive, to the northernmost point on Okinawa Island but, definitely worth visiting. Early morning, sunrise can be photographed even, on a cloudy day. The cliffs, overlooking the ocean can be steep and dangerous at times so, it's best to use caution when getting near the edges.
  • beutiful cape. everybody must like this blue and blue sea. I recommend to be there at noon or before noon on sunny day.
  • Long drive to get here and nothing much in the area. Maybe a good trip if it is cloudy, cold or need to kill some time; else I would recommend the beaches down south.
  • Really beautiful view and drive do this spot in the north. Tip: You won't have any internet there (for navi if you need). Bring something do eat with you and only visit it at good weather.
  • Worth the travel! Breathtaking views with amazing rocks.
