Hatenohama, Kumejima-cho

Categories: Islands, Beaches, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
Inspirock Rating:
4.6/5 based on 240+ reviews on the web
Reset yourself with bright, white sand and clear blue water at Hatenohama on Kume Island. Accessible only through a glass-bottom boat tour, the 7 km long (4.3 mi) stretch of sand makes this beach a popular outing spot, where you can both swim and snorkel. See some of the exquisite shells and tropical fish, or take snorkeling and diving lessons with expert instructors. A huge area of pristine shallow water sheltered by coral reefs and funky rock formations offers excellent diving opportunities, and you'll see local fishermen looking for a catch further out from the shore. Bring water with you and go to the toilet beforehand, as the beach offers few amenities. Put Hatenohama and other Kumejima-cho attractions into our Kumejima-cho itinerary planner, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • Rental umbrellas outside is zero shade. The reflected light from the pure white sand and the sea, Sun protection is required. Burn level so watch out. Also, said the shop is really something is not selling, so is bringing sweets and drinks. Take the trash of course. If you have a good flip flops if you go into the sea, but shoe type better. Barefoot OK is kinda painful. Beach beautiful Seashell and coral is declining everywhere. Fish was swimming in the depths of 浸karanai up to my knees. Likely be captured if networks were swimming close enough.

  • It is a great feeling if I actually have to go. For snorkeling, you can meet cute clown fish. This is the place to go if you go to the island.
