  • It is just a purpose-built area with eateries right next to the Kumamoto Castle so you kind of have to go through it either before entering or after leaving the castle as it is right there. Very...  more »

  • So many local food shops and restaurants. most of shops accepts credit card. i really liked the soy shop which the soy milk was really good and the tofu with Miso which is like cheese but much more healthy was also wonderful. most of the shops allow you to try the food but they won't force you to buy it and they are so friendly!!
  • It was quiet when we arrived. We felt that the closed Kumamoto Castle beside has affected its business there. There are still a lot of shops open for business but it is a place that you can complete in 30minutes if you do not dine there.
  • Love this place. Plus enjoy all the samples and buy some local delicatessens
  • Beautiful in spring despite the renovation work that is currently being done.
  • Here you will find some dellitious snacks! Wile the Castle is closed this is a nicr pit stop to take a break and rest wile trying a new sweet or cold tea or two. Its not far from, here to the bus stop or just walking to your next destinations. Right out side you will find good photo look outs on the castle.
