Take the free minibus headed from the parking lot of the Kumamoto Castle is on the other side of the castle is "Sakura no johsaien". I'm now mimicked the townscape of the old tourist facilities. Tourist Office, is the hotel restaurant with history experience facilities "za 湧湧", souvenir shops, local ingredients, such as a collection. Stood side by side the hotel souvenir shop, where main street is known as the "Cherry Lane". Recently, like this is made all over the place and not fresh at all. Besides, less tourists, or the effects of the earthquake were trying to be quiet.

Perfect place for buying souvenirs and tasting local products and food. Prices diverse depending on the shop but everybody can find something here.

Where to stay in Kumamoto

By far the majority of the accommodations in Kumamoto lie to the east and south of the main park containing the castle. Ranging from budget guesthouses to luxury hotels, and even luxury guesthouses (traditional "ryokan," with onsite spas), the accommodations of this central district are spread fairly evenly between the park and Shirakawa River. Many visitors to Kumamoto opt to stay further to the west along one of the peninsulas that jut out into Shimabara Bay.
