Experience a taste of the old days at Sakuranobaba Johsaien, an Edo-themed complex allowing visitors to travel back in time. Begin your tour at the interactive display allowing you to see what life in a typical castle town must have been like centuries ago. You can also watch a live performance incorporating ninja and samurai traditions, browse many souvenir shops, and drop into any one of the cafes and restaurants lining the town's streets. So many local food shops and restaurants. most of shops accepts credit card. i really liked the soy shop which the soy milk was really good and the tofu with Miso which is like cheese but much more healthy was also wonderful. most of the shops allow you to try the food but they won't force you to buy it and they are so friendly!!

It was quiet when we arrived. We felt that the closed Kumamoto Castle beside has affected its business there. There are still a lot of shops open for business but it is a place that you can complete in 30minutes if you do not dine there.

Here you will find some dellitious snacks! Wile the Castle is closed this is a nicr pit stop to take a break and rest wile trying a new sweet or cold tea or two. Its not far from, here to the bus stop or just walking to your next destinations. Right out side you will find good photo look outs on the castle.
