  • Is the Kirin beast Hall you can see from the road outside the Park. Had been aired on TV documents 72 hours so we went this time. 見remashita really. Such locations nationwide are not. It was an extraordinary experience. Giraffe parents and children were playing.

  • It is located in southern part of Kumamoto City Zoo and Botanical Garden. Because of the impact of the earthquake is now part business in the botanical gardens and the Reptile House has been closed, such as giraffes, elephants, birds and animal Petting could tour. Because if the tram from the Zoo and Botanical Garden station nearest is the preferred entrance to the train station (main entrance) is closed, this time down at the station kuwamizu Shimin hospital Mae, was from the West Gate entrance. Admission is 200 yen for adults, there are ample parking and coin-operated lockers. We visited this time and the opening of the 9:00 at the same time because of the hot weather person is less. Heat stroke requires attention, but slowly tour you want also to visit in the summer I think.

  • So I'm now opened free of charge. But I still watch the recovery on the way, places are limited, elephants and giraffes seemed have energetically. There was some waiting time, monorail etc. Animals also thanks for overcoming the earthquake together, satisfied.

  • We visited here in May, 2017, when it's not totally re-open yet. However, children had good experience here. There was not tap water for drinking because of construction. Staff explained it well. There were food and water sold in the zoo.
  • Great place to bring kids. Of course there are better habitats at other zoos, but there are also much much worse
  • for now, not open. such a pity.
  • Good.
  • Polar bear, Penguin, capybara area is now seen. It is good for family days out in good weather.

Where to stay in Kumamoto

By far the majority of the accommodations in Kumamoto lie to the east and south of the main park containing the castle. Ranging from budget guesthouses to luxury hotels, and even luxury guesthouses (traditional "ryokan," with onsite spas), the accommodations of this central district are spread fairly evenly between the park and Shirakawa River. Many visitors to Kumamoto opt to stay further to the west along one of the peninsulas that jut out into Shimabara Bay.
