Water Body Nature / Park
A luscious forest with a network of trails suitable for all abilities, Shiratani Unsuikyo Valley remains accessible yet wild and remote in spirit, containing the majority of the island's ancient cedar trees. Uncover the magical sight of "Moss Forest," where everything is touched by an emerald green hue. Paths are clearly marked in English and numerous trails offer hikes that take between 30 minutes and 5 hours. Wear appropriate footwear, and keep in mind that the trails here vary from ancient paths of the Edo Period, to the paved walkways of the 21st century.
