  • An interesting temple which also marks the beginning of the Koyasan Choishi-michi pilgrimage trail which winds up through the forested hills to the very heart of Koyasan.
  • And the starting point of the Koyasan pilgrimage. Tamori also has been out. Knockers are enshrined. Visitors climb the better, come stop by, I think. To enter the temple and stairs. After I go through the stone, which is a pilgrimage. Pilgrimage not so steep climbs are quite long. So 20 km over moderate strength and basic climbing equipment is required. Including breaks from the koya mountain gate I 4 hours I should be looking at around 7 hours in extent, but not too confident physically. FYI.
