JR Kotohira station my car jumped onto the yellow visits taxi the staff ride to the precinct entrance gate in a couple of minutes. From here which is 350 climb on their own and made shortcuts can't go and buy a souvenir and annoying parking tout, was. Will approach you can enjoy from the beginning recommend visits to taxi for yourself... the fitness lacks confidence in the people. One way that's 510 yen.

The town of konpira-San, Kotohira. This will you put it in a nutshell. One of the main attraction of our Kagawa was a shrine to the konpira-San. Kotohira looks from your motomiya is located 785 stone steps to climb off, and also touts while observing the road lined with souvenir shops, fun, and there was great.

See a bunch of great temples, climb over 1000 steps and be awarded with a great view at the end. Very satisfying and slightly demanding walk.

You need strong legs and stamina to climb all the way up to the top of this shrine. Well worth it at the end. The views are spectacular

Travel light and be prepared to walk a lot of stairways if you want to climb to the top. The scenery is great up at the temple.

Great view and also a good exercise up the steps

Free entry, great atmosphere, and extremely old and detailed shrine structures make this a most visit while in the region. Be prepared to climb up a thousand steps to reach the summit. A variety of touristy shops and onsen in the area, but we didn't get to explore those as we arrived late in the evening. The surrounding shops close at around 5pm.
