VenusFort, Koto

3.3
#30 of 243 in Shopping in Tokyo
A European renaissance theme park and shopping mall built on a man-made island, VenusFort offers many glitzy fashion stores and a few restaurants. Combining the styles of a Las Vegas hotel and an Italian film studio, this three-story building with a large inner courtyard features ornamented arches, fountains, pillars, statues, murals, and painted ceilings. Walk through paved alleys and browse through an assortment of local and international brands. Finally, head to the large food court on the third floor, which offers a wide variety of dishes. • The children were delighted production falling bubbles resembling snow Fountain Square in the Christmas season of winter and time. I felt the picture now, changing images of the ceiling was playing music, projection mapping is going boyaketa. Probably not free so? (laughs). I think outdoor arcade looks like plenty of shops inside, but the outside no matter how hot and cold it is relaxed good fun shopping.

  • It is a shopping mall like so many. How different is that on the top floor has an area of outlets and in the central area has a roof as some of the hotels in Las Vegas.

  • Just great place. Amazing! Museum of very fine cars inside. Interior like in Italian town. Fountain. Good shops and restaurants
  • Enjoyed the day i spent there. Lots of shops, good variety. Interesting to have a classic car museum at the end of the hall. If you are a tourist, after you've spent 5000 yen in one shop, don't forget to go to information desk to exchange a 300 yen coupon. Overall, Daiba is a very good relaxing area, lots of activities, sightseeing and shopping to do. Easily lose a day there.
  • A large shopping mall steps away from Tokyo Teleport station. Great outlets at a significant discount. Quite great looking and not at all dilapidated so it's honestly a great place to shop.
  • Decent shopping mall with a picturesque indoor fountain. Prices are average to high as it mainly caters to tourists. Easy access from both train lines.
  • Very surreal place to hang out. The lighting is consistent throughout the day, and is very calm and serene, though it can be shocking to go back outside.

Where to stay in Tokyo

Tokyo abounds with excellent places to stay, from luxury affairs to humble budget-friendly lodgings. Its glittering skyscrapers house numerous international four- and five-star hotels, both in the populous cultural hotspots of Shinjuku and in the business centers of Akasaka and Shinbashi. Meanwhile, hostels catering to the shoestring traveler lie scattered throughout the city. For a memorable, distinctly Japanese experience, seek out a ryokan, a traditional bed and breakfast with tatami floor mats and sliding screen doors.
