3.9/5 based on 120+ reviews on the web
Behold spectactular views across the city from Tokyo Gate Bridge, a magnificent feat of engineering that traverses Tokyo Bay in a great sweeping curve. Nicknamed "Dinosaur Bridge" owing to its design reminicent of two titanic beasts facing off, the bridge spans 2,618 m (8,589 ft) and took around a decade to complete. From this vantage point, 87.8 m (288 ft) high, you can watch shipping traffic sail beneath your feet, as well as great aeroplanes descending to land at the city's airport (the bridge's height was restricted to 100 m (328 ft) for this very reason). Consider bringing along some binoculars on your walk, to make the most of the endless detail of the dramatic cityscape. • Note, enter in turn from Lane's OTA-Ku wakasu Kaihin Park parking lot. 10 when I couldn't walk because it has arrived ago. It was overcast sky also has a subtle impression. Certainly a unique shape, was eye-opening. Will be lit up at night because it is so admirable.

  • The bridge is seen at its best both from Odaiba from Disneysea where we went for the many attractions. It's incredibly long and develops well 2, 618m with 87.8 m high. The upper and lower metal encased simulate an S but is a precise technical decision to allow passage of ships at the Center without being too high in order not to create problems to air traffic of Haneda Airport. In fact here they call it dinosaur bridge because it seems no two dinosaurs facing snouts against snout. At night it is unmistakable as seen in the attached photos where the metal structural profile is illuminated in white color and line haul with vai lights colors if this review did you like, you can read my other reviews for Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, Hiroshima and Miyajima on Japan and I'm glad a click on: is it useful?
