  • Ojima subway Toei Shinjuku line station is located on old Nakagawa. In high-rise housing group and exit the station really was in the landfill, Taisho-Ku, Osaka-like atmosphere. Had the Museum across the Park raised. Go inside and go up in the elevator on the fourth floor is reproduced in front of Blackboard building the ship is plenty of floating atmosphere. Went in this area and landfills in the transport hub, and Kiba horns rides history understood well, and learned.

  • I think going from reading the book may be little boring going suddenly doesn't understand too well, but very interesting. No fishing on the second floor there are spectacular.

  • For a small museum this place packs a lot in. Exhibits are entirely in Japanese with English headings on some of the topics. There are many maps, photos, and diagrams to keep the non-Japanese reader interested. The main room upstairs includes a replica of a fisherman's hut and a fishing boat, with a large floor to cieling mural of life in pre-industrial Koto-ku. I give it four stars from the perspective of an English speaker but would probably bump it up to 5 if I could read the exhibit text.
  • How to have concern for the transportation of the Edo period, or who have interests in the history of the Koto-ku has confidence and can recommend. Waiting for intellectual reward if adults 200 yen admission fee you pay more than that. I don't think well, middle school age kid. Never was, we stayed in (the car is parking is 5 minutes). Good quality of exhibition. Manuscripts showing three replicas with printed 書ki下shi, and a translation and ensure you can read on the visitors interests at different levels. History (since the Edo era) in Koto-ku anyway merely pandering to the public, only lower-level, and explaining is preferable. It took me 2 hours and after carefully reading the commentary while watching. Staff publications of Koto-ku. Think East Tokyo who must visit destination.

  • Development of water transportation only 200 yen in Koto-ku Center and we can know up until now. Reproduces the living room of the Showa era model ship constructed in the Edo period, booth or shed Michiko child Princess Nori Dakko-Chan boom and the news on TV. Be drawn without any documentation showing the exhibit of photos of the old shopping area or the Edo was laced with waterways, past and present, such as knowledge. I just buy a book. Big old maps were the toy sales you want.

  • Exit of Toei Subway Tokyo station-Oshima, continues South on the bowl of fish Square Park South of Nakagawa bridge. It is a 5-minute walk. This place was so important bases of water lead tone and Edogawa from the Edo period. And ships had to travel via the River to choshi is little surprise. Bandokoro to ship baggage crackdown, but its diorama at the Museum. Introduce the life and history of the Koto-ku. Koto-ku area is one the largest ever Edo vegetable, such as supplies, and seaweed were presented is. Rod and resorts, popular fishing as a hobby, was also producing fishing tackle, fishing rods, such as arts and crafts exhibits. Nice view from the observation room on the 3rd floor. You can learn the effects of subsidence caused by plant in Koto-ku area development and water development and after the Meiji period and raised the underground water. Amphibious water buses and river station (kiosks, resting place) near the banks of the river.
