KidZania Tokyo, Koto

4.2
Watch the little ones get introduced to the world of work at KidZania Tokyo, an "edutainment center" that focuses on an array of different professions and activities. The interactive complex recreates a city on a smaller scale, with the convincing setting having all the facilities and services you'd expect to find in a modern-day metropolis. Kids learn about the work done by pilots, radio DJs, doctors, and much more, discovering the remit of each job through roleplaying, dressing up, and interacting with the trained instructors. • 1st time is part of the week. Crowded and also the first time that a first quarter. Frozen food making, pizza making experience and the food was good. With a good amount of children's lunch. It's weekdays of second. Compared to some I was quite hungry. Soft Candy making WOW in popular reserve soon frame but it seems. Get a last minute reservation. Experienced six work, he seems happy. Would be good if you enjoy simply looking at parents, children. Wrong date when booking a reservation, just changed took change fee. It is a caution needed. Cancellation costs money.

  • Crazy place offers so much but at a bit high price point. Can come back tons of time and still didn't do all the jobs must visit if you are nearby and have kids.  more »
  • As with other reviews, need to plan to sign up which job your kid would like to do ahead of time. It's a nice concept but I find some jobs are more of demonstration rather than doing the actual work. ...  more »

  • I would give this 10 stars if I could - this was the family highlight of our entire trip to Tokyo. If you have kids between 3-12 it's a must do. An inside kid town/city with over 50 jobs they can make reservation for and do - it's like they are living real little adult lives, even setting up a bank account. I think most parents use it as a quasi-day care as each job can last 20-30 minutes and they want you to not participate so the kids have their own experience and learning. Even my 3 year old was well looked after without me needing to be there. That being said I was enthralled watching from outside of shop windows and from seating areas my kids do real jobs and be super blown away by it for the 5+ hours that whizzed by - thank you Kidzania for the experience finally curing us of jet lag just because we were so into it. When I saw a line of kids a km long in the mall I blanched, but unwarrantedly so, there were hundreds of kids all accommodated with no issues - the setup where you pick jobs one at a time on a reservation basis means that there's always something to do and kids are distributed well amongst the various jobs. My kids did police officer, paramedic, auto mechanic, beauty salon, chef, courier. The place is so well run, so well designed, so fun. The staff were amazing, even when we had a bathroom accident they had a temporary change of clothes and got my daughter back to her job while I ran into the mall and bought some spare clothes. The experience stands out as the best kid thing I've ever run into. My only regret is that there is nothing like this in Canada/North America yet. So glad my wife found this and we went. FYI Wednesday is English day so it's a good idea to book for then in advance of going.
  • Awesome place for kids to learn and have fun at the same time. My 4 year old son really enjoyed his time there. We went on English Wednesday and our guide was really helpful. So many “jobs” for the kids to do that we didn’t have enough time to do everything so we will definitely be back!
  • Wow! We booked this for the kids ahead of our trip to Tokyo unsure if there would be a launguage barrier. Right from the start we were fine though, heaps of activities in English, helpful staff to show us the way. The kids had an absolute ball and loved every second. Even the participated in non-english jobs with no problems at all. Very highly recommended if you have kids!
  • Awesome place for the kids to try real business's work and play. Highly recommended. English speakers roam the area to help out.
  • Really really unique type of amusement for kids. Kids can learn about different occupations, banking, and managing their life (all while having fun!)
