As a fan of Basho, I was looking forward to finding out more about him. While the museum was easy to find and we received a short biography in english, everything else was in Japanese. Oh well!  more »

Basho's exhibition of Edo period haiku world more the person than it seems. Not paints a more diversified, a biographical portrait from a monument to long-awaited placed hotel name to Matsuo Basho haiku if you are interested of course interesting, but it's even better. Exhibits copies, reproductions and much more, and a little luck. Along the Sumida River outside the exhibit (which printed the haiku etc.) is out of date and hard to read. Even the long-awaited spectacular ruin.
