Takeda Shrine, Kofu

3.9
Dedicated to an enshrined 16th-century samurai, Takeda Shrine offers blessings to samurai warriors who gather here for the annual samurai parade. With some 1,000 cherry blossom trees, the shrine features a large "kagure," a Shinto theatrical dance outlet featuring occasional performances, and a carp pond where you can feed the fish. You can also spot black-crowned night herons in the garden. A small museum inside the shrine features Takeda Shingen’s weapons, armor, colorful battle standards, and other personal belongings. You can also see Kamakura-period sword, listed as a national treasure, on display at the shrine, which sits eight minutes from Kofu station by bus or taxi. • New year's is interviewed for the first time to rest, but was surprised to many of the other visitors of the desire. Temple is fantastic, so many parking, not in traffic. New year's was open ground beside the shrine of elementary school as a parking lot. (Is asked to stagger, or ask in the morning to do? ) And out of shops, children can be enjoyed. Because it is a temple dedicated to Lord Shingen, rivalry is likely and blessings (laughs). Please try if you go to Kofu.

  • lots of cherry trees along day from Kofu station. its a good 30 min walk up the hill but its really nice in spring. there is a nice view from the gate downhill (a cherry tree avenue) and across the city.
  • Beautiful shrine and surrounding area. Nice to walk around and take lots of photos!
  • Well kept, ample spaces to walk around, beautiful cherry trees.
  • If freshly Takeda shrine please, superlative safely language test was passed. I also went Temple and shrine. If you go by bus from Yumura hot springs out from Kofu station, transfer to go. Yumura Onsen walk over an hour so I walk. Meeting House Temple temple of Jinja Takeda Katsuyori, Takeda 24 Generals of residences, Osamu Dazai, etc is like this route. Also recommended at the time of cherry blossoms in spring stroll up to the shrine from the Takeda shrine. Nice walk from Kofu station. About 20 minutes? It is slightly uphill is not exaggerating.

  • Originally, the Takeda clan in the history is capable, atmospheric castles and moats and stone walls such as the. To feel a sense of grandeur than all but cozy! For Yamanashi Prefecture Shingen benefited a lot gives me many teachings and noble presence. Takeda and a scenic spot overlooking the Kofu basin. The cherry blossom season is especially nice. Because it can get very busy parking lot by the time the second spacious parking is recommended. Takeda Street to traffic, so going from a side road, and the road is narrow but fast. Weather permitting, from Kofu station is accessible by rental also available.
