Takeda Shrine, Kofu
(3.8/5 based on 260+ reviews on the web)
Dedicated to an enshrined 16th-century samurai, Takeda Shrine offers blessings to samurai warriors who gather here for the annual samurai parade. With some 1,000 cherry blossom trees, the shrine features a large "kagure," a Shinto theatrical dance outlet featuring occasional performances, and a carp pond where you can feed the fish. You can also spot black-crowned night herons in the garden. A small museum inside the shrine features Takeda Shingen’s weapons, armor, colorful battle standards, and other personal belongings. You can also see Kamakura-period sword, listed as a national treasure, on display at the shrine, which sits eight minutes from Kofu station by bus or taxi. • Speaking of Kofu Takeda Shingen. Statue in front of the station. And you want to visit if you like Samurai Takeda shrine. Bus, accessible from the front of the station is not bad. Wondering it's not particularly unusual shrine is the Takeda family, feels too Porter. Views for Takigi Noh stage, cool slightly. Perfect for exploring the place. It costs money, but are you familiar with treasure house also recommended is. Armor and sword and exhibits, feel the history.

  • It is a place to go when you go to Kofu. I think so far lived Shingen Takeda shrine is not so unusual, and different atmosphere. Were made at the end of October was 753 people. It may be better if you watch slowly stopped 10-11-.

  • lots of cherry trees along day from Kofu station. its a good 30 min walk up the hill but its really nice in spring. there is a nice view from the gate downhill (a cherry tree avenue) and across the city.
  • Beautiful shrine and surrounding area. Nice to walk around and take lots of photos!
  • Well kept, ample spaces to walk around, beautiful cherry trees.
  • 100 next meijo Takeda's Studio. Near the souvenir shops and vibrant feel. Former Samurai and lives in modern I think... is amazing. Cool nokyo-sho book. 100 meijo stamps are managed here.
