The Sakamoto Ryoma Memorial Museum, Kochi

(3.4/5 based on 180+ reviews on the web)
Built on castle grounds, The Sakamoto Ryoma Memorial Museum displays artifacts and documents by Sakamoto Ryoma, a prominent figure of the Meiji Restoration. The exterior's geometric shape and large glass windows exude a contemporary ambiance. Inside, take a closer look at the documents, photographs, and correspondence of Ryoma and his contemporaries from the turbulent period of the 19th century. Don't miss the chance to visit the terrace, from which a vista of vast ocean extends across the horizon. Bear in mind that most of the info boards are in Japanese, while the English booklets are quite brief. • I visited 1/2017. Is that a year reopened to closed the spring of 2018, from 4/2017. You can learn more and ryoma Sakamoto's quote is where I was born. I think the Sakamoto ryoma like dying space. Easy-to-do have interest and take a look at in terms of amateur in history class I know how ryoma was what?
