Where to stay in Kobe

Kobe does best with sleek mid-range and high-end hotels offering views of the skyline; book rooms facing south for views of the bay during the day and the city lights at night. Luxury hotels along the waterfront are pricey but offer impeccable comfort and service. You can find last-minute accommodations at the city's budget hotels from the information desk in the main train station or online. For a very Japanese experience, try out one of the city's capsule hotels, known for ingenious space efficiency.

  • Interactive museum with great details of everything coffee related. From history to coffee-themed books, roasting proccess to free coffee tasting. A great place for coffee lover!
  • For someone not a fan if U C's coffee in particular, it is a nice museum to visit. A brief intro to coffee history and it's origins for UCC. Nice and short explanations about coffee roasts, grinding, and brewing methods/differences. I recommend it to anyone even remotely curious about coffee!
  • This is a review of the "Coffee Road" cafe. I had an excellent cappuccino in their elegant cafe (Y 440). They also have an array of single-origin coffees, craftily glass-brewed. Note that they don't open until 10am.
  • Great little museum with quite a few exhibits all about coffee!!!
