  • Its a little ahead and go north from Sannomiya Station in Kobe have the Shinkansen Shin-Kobe station and nunobiki nunobiki-district there at the foot of Rokko, Kobe's famous "name of the waterfall concentrated on Rokko water [nunobiki waterfall] and known. And other cities is different from a plain "now mountain location to narrow the water basin immediately falling from the mountain in under the narrow plain" is said.

  • Easy access to, while this is old nostalgic place. 1 night 2 days, the course now has so much energy, but as a student so start here 50 years ago, to traverse the Rokko Maya, was exploring in eight male and female friends in the camps in a tent. The experience so camp it was foolhardy, but also after. At that time not yet maintained course and waterfall landscape even now was different from the lot. Ontaki waterfall and the couple falls including the area had not changed so much, but was transformed drum waterfall and mentaki waterfall is around and at that time. Promenade tent River now disappears,... instead of the fallen were made. Fences are in place, as was now blocking access to close each half was enough time to immerse yourself in the emotion of a century ago.

  • If you would like to do a hike, change to a pair of comfortable walking shoes and hit the trail. It will take about an hour for the whole exercise. It is quite easy to locate, starting from the Shin K...  more »

  • The best treasure we've found in Japan so far, combining culture, beauty and nature all into one! The hillside has numerous well-constructed and lighted pathways that takes us into many pleasant surprises. A lot of local folks walk/hike here daily - with quite a bit of professional attire and equipment for uphill hiking all the way to the reservior! The Kobe sightseeing bus has a stop at the JR station at the foothill where the path begins. We chose to walk here from the Sannomiya Station (~30min stroll), which took us into many interesting, local sights. We will definitely keep coming back here whenever we can!
  • A nice, quiet, quick hike from Shin-Kobe station where we found the path way for the falls. Amazing how you can see the city but are transported into a green forest for some peaceful quality time to yourself as needed.
  • I'm sure it would have been lovely, but the trail is closed due to wild boar activity... which wasn't written anywhere until I got up past the lower ropeway station.
  • We got lost..but after an additional hour we found them great area to hike nice falls
  • Nice walk into the forest. The waterfall and the View are worth all of the hard work. It's unforttunally not allowed to have a dip in the water :)
