  • From Sannomiya to sea, about ten minutes old settlement. Museum is also matched by surroundings and even Western-style architecture. Special exhibitions from abroad are also frequently held, went from the British Museum, exhibition of Egypt. Tirelessly but not that big, carefully to see just a good size. Visits before and after meals and breaks are comfy and stylish cafés and restaurants located around.

  • I visited the permanent exhibition. Permanent exhibition was empty, but I was busy on Sunday held a special exhibition of the Boston Museum of fine arts Treasures exhibition just in. On the construction of the building, one felt only within the permanent collection and special exhibition space has been districts at the ticket booths and gate, was allowed in a somewhat irregular response is the only permanent exhibition admission. We have expected from the port city Kobe, exhibit and Panel to verify an important position in its history.

  • Rather expensive. When i visited on 1 Nov, the admission price was 1500 yen for an adult. I decided not to enter and opt to visit the maritime musuem with admission fee of 600 yen instead
  • Interesting museum. Rather expensive entrance fee. The English information is present but limited so you won't get the full experience in just English. The rotating exhibitions can be quite so I recommend going if the exhibition looks interesting to you.
  • Price was high. Had to pay before got information that nothing available in English
  • If you have any interest in how opening ports to the west impacted Japan, this the museum for you. They have wonderful English descriptions on most of the exhibits. The mid nineteenth century machine that creates permanent hair waves is worth the price of admission.
  • Nice place about art!
