  • This is an overrated tourist trap designed to suck in parents plus the kids. We waited 1 hour to enter and then found it low level. Avoid at all costs. Even my 2 young kids said it was boring ~ which ...  more »
  • We only went into the mall, not the museum. Mall was pretty cool, with Anpanman related shops, like you're in the Anpanman world. Stuck around for the beginning of the live show. The little arena area...  more »
  • My wife and I were visiting Harborland in Kobe and more-or-less blundered into the Anpanman Mall. What a delightful and unique place this is -- an entire mall completely dedicated to children. It was ...  more »

  • While I'd give this place 3 or 4 stars because it's actually quite small (and not really a museum, but an indoors playground), I'll give it 5 because my daughter, who is 3, loves the place and all shows. If your kids watch Anpanman, the TV show, then this is definitely a must-go-to place. You'll enjoy seeing their sparkling eyes... PS: Needless to say, but this is a Japanese language-only place. Some romaji here and there, but all shows and text descriptions are in the language of Kawabata.
  • The museum is well done, and if you love Anpanman, you can get all sorts of Anpanman and related merchandise here. The prices are pretty high, though.
  • Little pricey, but kids really enjoy here. We have been twice here. You need about 1.5 hours to complete it. Nothing much, but kids can stay there for several hours.
  • Let's get one thing straight: this is no museum. It's an overpriced, Anpanman-themed playground. It's 1500 yen/person regardless of age. The area is small, and the activities are limited. We spent two hours there, but we felt like we were stretching it to get our money's worth. The staff seems unbelievably patient. The extra star is for them.
  • Good place to have little kids playing here. Or if you are adults, you can visit the Masco plaza, it's also a good place to shop.
