4.2
#2 of 41 in Museums in Kobe
Observe the process of sake production at Hakutsuru Sake Brewery Museum, an old brewery now refurbished into a major tourist attraction. Realistic mannequin dolls and real tools and equipment vividly display the process of making Japan's most popular national drink. Every stage is depicted in detail, and the amount of work and passion put into the exhibits is clearly visible here. The self-guided tour ensures you go at your own pace, while highly educative videos in English narrate the history of the former brewery. At the end of the tour, stop by the tasting room to try some sake and purchase a few drinkable souvenirs for all the folks back home. A very interesting tour with explanations in English, thanks to the free wifi and the qr codes everywhere in the Museum. We discovered why some sake are better than others and all exhibitions are accompanied by videos that allow to understand what the different tools are used at every stage of manufacturing. Finally a quality to distribute with nice souvenirs shop and a good bottle of sake while otherwise we don't know how to choose. I would highly recommend.

Great Sake Brewery Museum. Videos in English/Japanese for every stage of Sake brewing process. Also the option to Scan qr Codes (free WiFi offered!) and Display Information in several different languages. Many old tools on display and very lovely Show room. Best Sake Brewery Museum in the area.
