  • Inside you will see about Japanese samurai history and their uniform including sword. On the third floor of castle you will see the night view of Kitsuki city.  more »

  • One of the smaller castles in Japan. Has a small graveyard in the grounds leading up to the castle. Great view of the area around kitsuki from a small observation area outside the castle.  more »

  • Has a very good mini-museum with a lot more material and artifacts than most castles in oita and Fukuoka.
  • Cute small castle in centerpiece of this Samurai town.
  • Mainly came to see the samurai streets. Was not disappointed, two streets both running off a main road to ridge lines overlooking the Main Street, then running along those ridges. Many buildings were open and free to inspect. The castle stands at the end of one of those ridges and is about 10 minute walk . It is a tiny recreation but sits on a hill with fantastic views.
  • Fantastic views of the town from here.
  • Is speaking out more, keremashita! Views from the 3rd floor was beautiful. A natural way to reach the castle was beautiful. Free Wi-Fi is the best!!
