Categories: Neighborhoods, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
4/5 based on 420+ reviews on the web
A major international and domestic port in the 19th century, Mojiko Retro now operates primarily as a center for tourism, with many authentic Maijo and Taisho buildings renovated and housing museums, cafes, and eateries. From the majestic Mijoki Station, inspired by the architecture of Rome's Termini Station, take a stroll along a boulevard of historic sites, including a former customs house converted into a free art gallery. After the novelty of walking across the Blue Wing drawbridge, don't miss panoramic views from the top of Mojito Retro Observation Room, a 103 m (337 ft) tower overlooking the entire port. At the end of boulevard, Kaikyo Plaza provides a wealth of restaurants, all serving the local delicacy yaki curry. Make Mojiko Retro a centerpiece of your Kitakyushu vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Kitakyushu tourist route planner.

  • Walk out in the rain. Very clean. Retro is the perfect date. Visiting area attractions, and a stroll, just good.

  • Yokohama I want on a larger scale, compactly grouped together in small Western building there is no feeling. Explore more great. There are many lovely buildings

  • After seeing the Memorial can know the history of the train for lunch. Outside, dark red brick of the Meiji era architectural quiet warm fuzzy lighted and clean. A famous tourist destination was and is still in the atmosphere, but I think is good
