  • Museum is less than 5 minute walk from the Mojiko station. We had a JR pass, and it was a perfect side trip to get our money's worth from the pass. There is a 50% discount on the museum entrance fee f...  more »
  • Passing place was like before, and having spare time when popped. An exhibition and several vehicles, even if you're not oh so old train was running--and became a nostalgic feeling. Pay is racing like a go by train. I wanted to do because it could drive the neighborhood station that was abandoned because it was. Kyushu local Board's attention? The key ring. Instinctively I kept minutes of the nearest station. From a minor station is rare. In addition to batch and seals cool purchased some. I think trying to bag. Including the person who sells the train if you don't recognise is interesting like traveling.

  • There are lots of Japanese trains to see, with different years. One special thing to do with kids is to get on a mini train, pretending to drive the train. All four Kyushu rails are there: yufu, yufu no mori, tsubame, and sonic. However, on top of the entrance fee, you still need to pay ¥300 more to try it, and it's NOT you who operate the train, it's just a pretend. Yet it's still fun, especially for kids.
  • Lot of Japanese Railway history can be found here. Staff cam speak in English, some of them try to help you understand. Inside have a mini railway which you can pay 300yen to drive a little train, it was fun to play with yhe kids.
  • Quite small. Much smaller than the one in Kyoto.
  • Japan train development museum ...information very clear and can watch train .. is good
  • Can play train virtual drive, its fun
