Categories: Marinas, Beaches, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
Inspirock Rating:
4/5 based on 150+ reviews on the web
Watch huge tankers slide below a suspension bridge with a central span of 712 m (2,336 ft) at Kanmon Kaikyo, straits that link Honshu and Kyushu islands. Go 56 m (183 ft) below the sea level on foot or by bike through one of the four undersea tunnels to get a feeling of its immensity. Along the pedestrian path next to the coast, large sculptures of epic samurai duels and replicas of cannons used in a failed attempt to fend off menacing westerners add history to this strategic area. See Kanmon Kaikyo and all Kitakyushu has to offer by arranging your trip with our Kitakyushu travel itinerary planner.

  • The view from the top is the best. Good weather, bridge, still shine. You can walk to the Yamaguchi free of charge. Only short walk to the border. Think sea and deep emotion.

  • Kanmon bridge across the Strait to the island of Kyushu jiu zhou (below the underwater tunnel to come last year). The side that is the city of Kyushu Island, saw the Mojiko jiu zhou.
