Trip Planner:   Asia  /  Japan  /  Kinki  /  Osaka Prefecture  /  Osaka  /  Kita  /  Kids Plaza Osaka
Take the kids to Kids Plaza Osaka, a museum aimed squarely at children, helping them learn through play. Across five themed floors, the museum has kids climbing on surreal structures designed by Austrian architect Friedensreich Hundertwasse, teaching to play weird and wonderful musical instruments from around the world, or becoming police or postal workers in the make-believe town on the fourth floor. You can find plenty more activities on site, and although there is no cafeteria, you're welcome to bring a packed lunch, or can come and go as you please during the visit by showing your pass. • There is a lot of room, there is a very long slide slide can slide to 1, there is a chair of the activity, so that children can feel the same as the difficulties of the disabled friends. Most of the puzzles that can't read Japanese are still playable.

  • It is conveniently located just a few steps from Ogimachi Station. It is possible to play with the play equipment, and children are very satisfied because it is possible to do various things like putting on the chimachogori, playing with the bubble, shopping, and so on. There is also a freshness burger in the vicinity, but i think it is easier to play because you can eat it inside if you take a bento.

  • I went with my less than two-year-old child. The baby area was quite large, and the toys that were easy for babies to play with were also substantial. The only thing that bothers me is that the children of the age were mixed, so i thought i'd be able to keep an eye on the baby by running and going wild. There is also a good children's area on another floor, where you can learn science and have a fish tank, and i thought that it would be a lot of fun for the older kids here.

  • I highly recommend this place for people with kids. Especially on those rainy or cold days, and the kids have too much energy to burn. There are a lot of things to do, and even the parents can enjoy playing with their kids. Unfortunately, it isn't free, so be ready to pay. The Plaza is located relatively close to the station and us inside a TV station building so it may look a bit odd. When you enter the building , it seems a bit boring and not much going on, but when you head to the forth floor, that's when the fun starts. In the building there are both fun and educational items which is one of the reasons I love it for my kids. I wasn't able to tour the whole play area as it was pretty big, and I had to catch a train. I recommend people to take sanitation wipes or gels because a lot of people are touching a lot of things, and you don't know what they have.
  • A real good place to take the kids. Highly interactive and fun.
  • The playground OUTSIDE of Kid's Plaza is awesome for kids 3 to 6 years old. The slides are really fun! Cream on top cupcake. Cupcake being Kid's Plaza Osaka. We spent 1.5hrs outside with 34mth old kid. Kid's Plaza Osaka is good for kids 3 to 12 years old. There were bugs, bubbles, X-ray, fun physics, role play area, musical instruments and world introduction of language and culture. We spent about 3 hrs here.
  • outstanding place for small children to explore and learn. A model for interactive experiences for children. (though unfortunately probably wouldn't work in Australia and most western countries because kids are not taught to respect property/ museums/ public facilities as in Japan)
  • Kidz Plaza is a good place for small children under 12 years old to play. The games are educative and entertaining at the same time.
