  • Kumano Taisha Shrine, Wakayama Prefecture World Heritage Centre parking my car, Kumano took a bus up to hosshin-OJI shrine Taisha-Mae Bus stop, from there Kumano hongu Taisha, walked about 3 hours approximately 8 km. This course is a village surrounded by tea plantations Kumano ancient road in the most popular course uphill less often slow down the beautiful scenery on the way the old cobbled streets and stone path and the manicured Cedar-green ferns and ancient atmosphere full of beautiful offers a pleasant walk. Or tea house in the Middle, a lookout spots, makes you forget the fatigue. Kumano this end were knocked down in a fresh feeling and touching off walking up to the temple shrine. Across the road to visit, down the stone steps in Wakayama Prefecture World Heritage Centre and Tourism Association "World Heritage Kumano book Palace Hotel" there. Historic company and great Hokusai original famous Torii (34 m, 42 m) at the power spot that God has landed at approximately 500 m away. And was washed away in four companies built enshrined under four stone hokora. Also known as cherry blossom, decorated with a bright spring colors are spectacular. A 10-minute walk away, so visit.

  • We spent 3 days in the region of Kumano Kodo, after visiting Kyoto and Nara. Accessible by train and bus, we arrived to Hongu in about 6 hours, passing through landscapes of small towns and mountains. What you find is a mountainous landscape, with dense forests and small villages inhabited by very few people, mostly elderly. all surrounded by waterways mostly Spa ... We made the Trek, not much, about 12 km in two days, passing through a dense forest with a trail marked and very few tourists, maybe a handful. Needless to say, the peace and quiet reign supreme in these ancient environments, famous for pilgrimages. After the Trek we soaked in the famous thermal waters, clean and relaxing for moments of relaxation and reflection. The Japan is definitely a place of contrasts and that, compared with the large Japanese metropolis is one of them. I recommend it, especially for those who love nature and hiking, for tradition and to see a different side of the country.
