  • We traveled here once in 2015 for the fertility festival, and once again in 2018 to wish for a pregnancy. The fertility festival is really something to see, it was wild and very fun. Our second trip w...  more »

  • Enjoy the tranquillity. While sucking that Dick candy is good to listen to "deccaymerra", in the silence of the usual family ・ recommended going to observe the shape of the shrine. Rather to pray for offspring more wishes was heard easily may.

  • Don't come here for the dick festival, it's so crowded you can barely breathe, and 95% of the people here are foreigners. The place has been reduced to a place to sell expensive dick merchandise, not a place to witness unique culture.
  • Shinto (神道 Shintō) or kami-no-michi (among other names)[note 1] is the traditional religion of Japan that focuses on ritual practices to be carried out diligently to establish a connection between present-day Japan and its ancient past.[2] Shinto practices were first recorded and codified in the written historical records of the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki in the 8th century. Still, these earliest Japanese writings do not refer to a unified religion, but rather to a collection of native beliefs and mythology.[3] Shinto today is the religion of public shrines devoted to the worship of a multitude of 'spirits', 'essences' (kami),[4] suited to various purposes such as war memorials and harvest festivals, and applies as well to various sectarian organizations. Practitioners express their diverse beliefs through a standard language and practice, adopting a similar style in dress and ritual, dating from around the time of the Nara and Heian periods (8th–12th century).[3]
  • One of weird festivals I have ever scene named 'Kanamara Matsuri' held in the end of March or beginning of April. Basically at the start of spring season this festival takes place at Kanayama Shrine. This shrine is located on Keikyu Kawasaki Daishi line, at a walking distance of 3-4 mins from Kawasaki Daishi Station. If you want to enjoy some weird Japanese culture, you must go. Have fun!
  • Went during Kanamara Matsuri, was amazing vibe
  • It certainly worth a visit!
