  • Remembering the fire June 2 years ago, revisited. Shops into the street from the warehouse around the exit of several brand new modern architecture had become. Charm is no longer number of hotels in the spread of fire from the fire, but the street is alive and well. Take it from pleasant Street.

Shop here recently to these tourist destinations tend to be, or if you actually buy at the restaurant in the center of yo! Or, or crowded alyona patterns everywhere accessory shop in the center of this landscape. Shop locally will continue while there. Museum staff have sight teaches free resting place is on the way and a sudden shower fell, and blankets. Title kashiya Yokocho no number of shops we were short, but filled with crowded with tourists. • Quite enjoyable to walk. Traditional type shops. Go in and enjoy a wide variety of traditional cakes, mochi, smaller products, etc. Take your time. Service people are very consumer orientated.
  • The name might give you too much expectation for what it is. It's small and most shops have the same kind of candies, nothing particularly super special. Pick a nice sunny day to visit this place, there are a lot of nice coffee shops around.
  • the candy alley is a must-see, but it was smaller than expected. i wish the things sold had more variety, and that there were more restos. perhaps more coffee shops and seats to lounge around?
  • Always fantastic to see the candy. A little busy on weekends
  • There are only a few shops open at the time I was there. May not worth going there if you are not interested in Japanese old fashion candy but it's a beautiful place though.

Where to stay in Kawagoe

You can find plenty of budget-friendly accommodation in the vicinity of Kawagoe's train station, Hon-Kawagoe, near the historic district. Options mostly consist of 2- and 3- star hotels that offer clean, modest rooms, and free wi-fi, some western-style and some with tatami floors. A number of traditional Japanese "ryokan", or bed-and-breakfasts can be found all over town as well. A "capsule hotel" lies right outside the train station, with tiny sleeping compartments, locker rooms, and showers.
