Where to stay in Daisetsuzan National Park

Resort-style hotels provide luxurious spa retreats across Daisetsuzan National Park. Offering views of the mountains and volcanic areas, as well as onsens (traditional Japanese spas), these upmarket establishments nestle up close to the park's hot springs, and use the naturally warmed water in a number of different treatments. For the more budget-conscious traveler, a couple of dormitory-style hostels located close to the main hot springs provide a good option throughout the year, with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities; in summer, campgrounds offer yet another alternative.

  • It should come from the sekihoku pass towards absolute to come here. Back in the headwaters of the Ishikari River, and then turn right at the dam lake in the sky, and running for a while now is a Mikuni pass mode. Tunnel before one is aware of the pass Summit to out. Is highest in Hokkaido, but don't feel too much height. From high mountains around it's maybe? But forest below is breathtaking. Pristine forests on one side feels scary even. I feel above all bears are guards, not. Is running and building very encounter herds of deer in the evening, at night is very dangerous. Is out of the way so be careful!
