Kashima Jingu, Kashima

Surrounded by an ancient cedar forest, Kashima Jingu, is dedicated to a local patron deity of martial arts. In the 16th century, one of Japan's major sword masters frequently visited this site, eventually establishing a martial arts school named after this shrine . As you take a peaceful stroll through the complex, look for reflecting ponds and stone lanterns, just two examples of the temple's notable outdoor features. • Degree when I visited ago (20 years ago) it was Kashima Jingu Shrine and a totally different image before it arrives this time, and many of my visits for the tree in good condition, good and lucky day, so full of 753 celebration, pure white dress bride nor children prays and Invigorating heart crowded now. Unfortunately full dining room in the shrine of a Soba restaurant shake for lunch was good.

  • It took a 2 hours, Highway bus from Tokyo station and less than half an hour train from Mito. From the station of Tsukahara bokuden, is about 10 minutes on foot. Torii and the main shrine on the right hand side is your company a very stunning. Not on the left, exhibits so many treasures, but there is a national treasure, swords. Okumiya, Mitarai pond and deer garden nestled at the end, amazing fresh while bathing.

  • Said appeal stretches right back approach the biggest shrine. Meiji Jingu Shrine like the impression that fewer worshippers and taste the atmosphere and dense forest green is much darker, creepy feel, serving as a mystique. Precincts can be used free of charge, air of the Woods, take a deep breath to stroll quietly and just good spot may be (Treasure Museum takes admission fee of 300 yen). Buildings and structures in the precinct is so-called typical Shinto shrine architecture looks alone, the notable style, sculptures and the like do not. Unchanged from shrine gardens since ancient times without having to 衒u, reportedly was impressed. For this reason, it is recommended to explore with a guide to more deeply know the history of the shrine. I think that the greatest appealing spot of this at the shrine is a straight approaching way. The approaching way looks like it of Meiji Jingu at the Shrine, actually walking, you'll have a completely different impression. Not to mention that there are few worshipers, you'll feel that the denseness of greenery in the forest is very strong compared to it of Meiji Jingu Sh rine. I think that it has eeriness and mystery. You can enter the premises of the at the shrine for free (the entrance fee of treasure hall is 300 yen). This at the shrine may be good in order to walk quietly while taking a deep breath of the forest's air. The architectural style of this at the shrine is typical, there are no noteworthy architectural styles unique to this at the shrine. I think that it is a testimony to keep the tradition of the at the shrine without flattering to the tourism. If you want to know this at the shrine deeply, I suggest you take a walk with your guide.

  • Watch out for parking. Kashima Jingu Shrine is in sight in the parking lot a fair number out but privately owned parking. Parking space in Kashima Jingu Shrine Torii go right and then, was there. If anything even close to the shrine. Shrine itself, you can feel the history very great shrine. However, okumiya, keys, if you have time so I will go back to why is most of the people did not go far round was and is a beautiful shrine around it you want to.
