(170+ reviews on the web)
Historic Site Landmark
Tea houses and traditional houses sit under cherry trees at Kazuemachi Tea House Street, a major Edo-period city historical district that overlooks the Asanogawa River. Squeezed between two walkable bridges, the site is especially worth visiting if you are looking for a tea house experience of old Japan. The site features minimal lighting, lanterns, bamboo fences, old wooden facades, and small shops and alleys. Don't miss the tea house experience in this traditional geisha district, which includes the sounds of string instruments, bamboo flutes, and drums in the evenings.
