Kazuemachi Tea House Street, Kanazawa

3.8
Tea houses and traditional houses sit under cherry trees at Kazuemachi Tea House Street, a major Edo-period city historical district that overlooks the Asanogawa River. Squeezed between two walkable bridges, the site is especially worth visiting if you are looking for a tea house experience of old Japan. The site features minimal lighting, lanterns, bamboo fences, old wooden facades, and small shops and alleys. Don't miss the tea house experience in this traditional geisha district, which includes the sounds of string instruments, bamboo flutes, and drums in the evenings. • In the three major teahouse streets "Higashi Chaya district, West Street, Kazue-machi teahouse streets." Nestled along the river of the Asano River, Kazue-machi teahouse streets. Even if close to the Asano River Bridge, take the Higashi Chaya district, to visit. Day a dark back roads attractive, daytime, evening, and night and so enjoy a facial difference. Less crowded, that or not is a popular good. The River line is straight, not too long.

  • By Chaya-gai I did return to the city centre, for a part, walk to see how was the long Asano-second river crossing Kanazawa-discovering that some of the houses here overlooking still have a traditional character-picturesque, nothing to the long you know. In disordinatissimo Kanazawa urban landscape that seems a little eden. Mind you nothing worth moving this far, there is nothing to see. Maybe take a little detour on foot from the old neighborhood where you'll be gone and then return to cities with a midst any.

  • East Brown Street are standing quietly famous too-too. Kanazawa tourist three times, but a little quiet place, we went sightseeing. Nishi Chaya and accounting (Kazu is apparently read well) Street tourist, who both loved the sightseeing can be done. Into the narrow streets also. Quaint, very soothing. Cross the bridge from the East teahouse is soon, so take a stroll to?.

Where to stay in Kanazawa

The well-preserved castle town of Kanazawa has a good range of accommodations, with the most popular among them sitting in tall modern blocks overlooking the historical areas of town, or the more commercial parts. Look to the west of the castle grounds for some particularly well-positioned options, offering urban views, spas, pools, and restaurants. North-west from here, close to the main train station, you'll find a good selection of slightly simpler options in tall blocks, while the residential districts across the city house simple guesthouses and the odd hostel.
