  • Kamakura dump city has long Yhai Promenade Park near the coast, I recommend that I can ride a car tour, because the Sea Promenade Park range is larger, riding a car is more convenient, and easy to look at the sea bike is very comfortable

  • In Japan many people feeling like the subway at rush hour. If you want to take a break from the crowds-Kamakura in November-a good option) the sea is very beautiful, comfortable walk along the shore, small cafés and shops. Better to leave early to avoid the rush-hour train.

  • It was too far and we did Not have enough time to go to Kyoto. Next best option was Kamakura, Japan. It was closer to Yokohama, where we were staying. Kamakura was a wonderland of Temples and Beaches....  more »

  • Very average. There was tons of construction but not sure if just bad timing.
  • Not the best white sandbeach, but it is perfect to relax and to go surfing.
  • I don't know what changed but this place was somewhat of a run down dump. We were excited to visit it but once we saw it we kept on walking by.
  • Not the best beach ever
  • Well stopped by with the intention of the movie filming location for exploring. Jiang, a few minutes walk from station den tazuka. Sea view, sitting on the grass cover loose Koyama b. Some drinks from the vending machines. I had a Black-backed Wagtail (bird).

Where to stay in Kamakura

Given the easy access from Tokyo via a number of public transport options, the vast majority of visitors to Kamakura choose to stay in the capital and head here for a day trip. If you feel there's too much to see in one day, then you'll be pleased to find a decent selection of accommodations in Kamakura itself. Down by the sea sit perhaps the most luxurious of the crop, with sea views high on the list of desires for those who stay here. Follow the river as it snakes inland past the train station, and you'll see a good number of more standard hotels, as well as particularly budget-friendly guesthouses.
