Terukuni jinja is a Shinto shrine in the city of Kagoshima in Kagoshima Prefecture in Japan. This shrine is considered to be a dwelling place for the kami of Shimazu Nariakira, whose posthumous name is Terukuni Daimyōjin.HistoryThe shrine was founded in Kyushu in 1882 during the Meiji period.This class of shrine (Bekkaku Kanpeisha) was established in 1872 (Meiji 5) for the veneration of those kami who were, during life, ordinary subjects of the Emperor. Only a very small number of shrines designated as such.

  • It is a shrine of Shimazu Nariakira. To visit the free Museum tsubusemasu a little bit of time, but not interesting. I think I should have no special interest people were shopping with astronomical observatory.

  • Residents are historically high popularity of Shimazu Nariakira. In town so come by car, new year's difficult places. Hatsumode crowded with many people. New year's day, we recommend public transportation. May be somewhat higher if the car is good in Central Park underground parking.

  • Kagoshima at a famous shrine. Every year Kagoshima summery image will be held in mid-July, six representative locations of light. June light during local television station the evening local news coverage is always. Check the announcers relayed by yukata. J League Kagoshima United F.C. did pray for victory here.
