Ride the dramatic ropeway up and away to Izunokuni Panorama Park. A lofty spot, standing 452 m (1,482.9 ft) above sea level, the park affords stunning views over the surrounding landscape. Take in unhindered vistas of the bay and the enormous Mt. Fuji as it looms in the distance. Notably, from the middle of April to the beginning of May, tens of thousands of vibrant, pink azaleas bloom around the mountain-top trails, adding to the picturesque scenery.   • Mt. Fuji has been hiding from the clouds when we were there and finally decided to show up on our last day in Shizuoka so we went to pay a visit at the park. You take a cable car for maybe 15-20 minut...  more »
