Izumotaisha mae Station, Izumo
(3.6/5 based on 120+ reviews on the web)
Built in 1930, Izumotaisha mae Station was made a Heritage of Industrial Modernization site for its contribution to mass tourism. Observe the station's standout design, rendered in a Western architectural style with striking stained glass windows. It has retained its old-fashioned styling even though it continues to function today, providing the only rail link between Izumo and Taisha. While the station offers little in the way of English information, you can find onsite amenities and a cafe. Make Izumotaisha mae Station a centerpiece of your Izumo vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Izumo trip itinerary builder.

  • Izumo-Taisha station is train (end) one hour recommended for Shinji Lake hot spring station. Timetables by check please. The stations are displayed in Japan's oldest train. Organized two vehicles. It is single track.

  • Used for going from Izumo to Matsue. It was retro station with a small taste. It was the best views of Lake Shinji, lined with seats facing the Shinji Lake side running, to the vehicle in front of the direction I didn't know I could sit. We can sit in this seat went forward vehicle without knowing it was
