Izumo-taisha, Izumo
(4.5/5 based on 1,200+ reviews on the web)
Likely the oldest site of its kind in the country, Izumo-taisha also represents as one of the most important places of worship in the Shinto religion. You'll walk on extremely ancient ground when visiting the shrine, as the site dates back to at least the 8th century. Despite the temple's long history, the appearance of the main shrine only dates back to the 18th century. The main hall, renovated every few decades, last underwent a major rebuilding in 2013. Pay special attention to the straw ropes hanging over the entrance into the main section of the complex--visitors able to throw and lodge a coin in them can allegedly hope for continued good fortune. • "The darkness of the night, he blotted both color and perspective, bigger and spacious place to increase further. Shrine to the shrine illuminated by the Dim light of the Lantern is also beating my chest was greatness enough to shiver. Omission. Approach to the length and no less than 500 meters. Over the two bridges and through the Grove of about two. Expansive grounds spread out on both sides, all in the Taisha was. If ever that foreigners could not pass through the gate in. Omission. The flurry of big Firefox dark environment pale yellow light is moving back and forward. Lantern of the worshippers ' Let's walk to the shrine from the coast.

  • Sengû with sengu, including increased attention to Izumo-Taisha Shrine. Is sometimes called the 5-ton eignt is a must. Insanely great anyway! Not much small scale compared with the Grand shrine of ISE, is just too much good in attentiveness in about two hours.

  • Visited for the first time. Walk from the parking lot so could reach the shrine. The distance of the outer shrine of Ise Jingu Shrine? Monzen-Machi is fairly simple and easily had. Nice scenery going at a high speed and easy to understand so you can get in on the coast.
