  • Part of this Temple Road (about 100 meters) is part of the Chugoku nature trail for hiking from the mountain behind the temple and through the Temple Road, Tara (not included in the Temple), started the commotion came after Temple's aunt, pay off your debts. And pay the money to begin with Chugoku nature trail brochure is written is not passing (of course I didn't even know about) the way to go hiking. (2 hours walking trail to go another way, we have to return). As a temple to claim the money, just passed the road 100 meters that are part of the nature trail is nice to collect money for the people who came to visit the temple, established in the Ministry of the environment should be intensely has doubts. As the temple is such an intolerant attitude whether or not I think, was the worst of my aunt. And I want to that temple will never, do not recommend staying around. If visit recognizing such temple that would consider going to this temple.

  • Somewhere far away but that is worth to be visited. Avoid periods of rain as it can be slippery path. There are a lot of stairs made of stones. Use light clothing and sneakers because it has a track with 10 minutes of walking approximately to the location of the sanctuary.

  • Izumo-Taisha is also edge deep the Izumo Temple. Went to the spring should receive additional "good autumn's-" and come to say that. But it secured feet, deeper than Royal mess when crowds in myself more.

Where to stay in Izumo

Hotels in Izumo cluster around the railway station, mostly on the northern side. Get a map at the station for the location and prices of a few inexpensive ryokans and family-operated bed and breakfasts scattered around the city. A number of mid-range business establishments lie in the western part of town and south of the railway station. Capacity in the city is limited, so consider exploring the wider selection of accommodations on the eastern shore of Lake Shinji, some 30 km (18 mi) away from Izumo.
