Nature / Park
Explore the diverse array of attractions at Shuzenji Nijino Sato, where British steam and diesel trains traverse the large park with themed gardens, replica villages, and more. Wander around British- and Canadian-style mock settlements and Western and Japanese gardens, or get active on the adventure playgrounds and hiking trails. Expect to pay for most of the attractions here separately at this privately funded attraction; consider bringing along a picnic to enjoy somewhere in the picturesque gardens. Where to stay in Izu

Izu possesses plentiful accommodations, with the established resort town receiving many domestic and international visitors each year. The most popular place to stay close to the city center remains the area surrounding Shuzenji hot spring. Onsite bathhouses, known as "onsen," use the naturally-warmed water from the hot spring in a range of spa treatments. You can find some more budget-friendly options here, but the emphasis remains primarily on luxury. Look along the regional roads that converge at Shuzenji station for more options, including guesthouses and hotels.
