Cool off next to Joren Waterfall, located in the high forest landscape of the Kano River. Nestled among lush plant life, the waterfall majestically cascades from a height of 25 m (82 ft), and stretches 7 m (22 ft) across. The cool spray from the crashing water provides a nice way to cool off in the summer. Practice your fishing skills at many spots along the river, where you can catch trout. Wasabi plantations exist nearby due to the fresh and clean water from the waterfall. Taste some fresh spicy wasabi followed by a browse of the gift store. • A famous bomb representing Shizuoka prefecture on the way over Amagi! The stairs to the waterfall road are tough, but the negative ions beyond that are the best!
  • Of course, the waterfall is wonderful, but the path of the stairs to Joren Waterfall was a place full of natural power with overgrown trees.
  • It was more powerful than Kawazu Nanataki, but I feel like it's enough if I come once. The parking lot is large and free, and the stairs to the waterfall are steep, but it's close. There is a charge, but you can also fish for trout, so it might be good for those who are interested. 2022.4
  • I stopped by when I traveled to the Izu Peninsula before. When my acquaintance goes to karaoke, the song he always sings is Amagi Goe. Therefore, I hummed the melody many times on this day. When I got close to the waterfall, the negative ions exploded, and it felt so good in the hot weather that I wanted to stay here forever. Also, the wasabi field, which grows only with clean water, was worth seeing. Although it has become a bit of a tourist spot, I think it is one of the recommended spots that you can't miss on your trip to Izu.
  • Visit by car. Free parking. It's wide. There was a word of mouth that was written as "about 5 minutes to the waterfall", but the "downhill" is probably about that. Go down some steep stairs. This visit took a little more time, partly because it was raining with an elderly person. Those who are worried about their legs can see it from the observatory without going all the way down. If you go to the bottom, you can also do sweetfish fishing for a fee. Pole rental is also available. I'm glad that this waterfall, which appears in the passage of "Amagi Goe" sung by Sayuri Ishikawa, has quite the atmosphere.
