Waterfall Nature / Park
Cool off next to Joren Waterfall, located in the high forest landscape of the Kano River. Nestled among lush plant life, the waterfall majestically cascades from a height of 25 m (82 ft), and stretches 7 m (22 ft) across. The cool spray from the crashing water provides a nice way to cool off in the summer. Practice your fishing skills at many spots along the river, where you can catch trout. Wasabi plantations exist nearby due to the fresh and clean water from the waterfall. Taste some fresh spicy wasabi followed by a browse of the gift store. Where to stay in Izu

Izu possesses plentiful accommodations, with the established resort town receiving many domestic and international visitors each year. The most popular place to stay close to the city center remains the area surrounding Shuzenji hot spring. Onsite bathhouses, known as "onsen," use the naturally-warmed water from the hot spring in a range of spa treatments. You can find some more budget-friendly options here, but the emphasis remains primarily on luxury. Look along the regional roads that converge at Shuzenji station for more options, including guesthouses and hotels.
