  • If you're visiting Itoigawa or even just waiting for your train, you owe it to yourself to stop by here. Tons of information about Itoigawa and the Itoigawa UNESCO Global Geopark shown through videos, interactive displays and exhibits. There is a kid's play area which has an indoor slide and climbing wall and a large satellite map of the Itoigawa UNESCO Global Geopark. The staff at the Tourist Information Center don't speak much English, but they will do their best to help you with anything you need. There is also a preserved Kiha-52 train, the kind that used to run on the Oito Line between Itoigawa and Matsumoto. It's been repurposed as a waiting room, pretty novel idea. On the other side of the train is a model railroad gallery, featuring model railroads of Itoigawa, Tokyo and the Himekawa Gorge. You can operate the trains for a fee. There is also a kid's play area in the railroad gallery where kids can play with Plarail plastic, battery-operated train sets. Lots of fun for younger kids and a great opportunity to interact with locals!
  • There is nothing interesting to itoigawa station around kinda just wasting my time. From where you sit, waiting time for trains should be.

  • PLA-rail can play free of charge. Recommended for children.

  • Can-can play freely and their N-Gage, get kids climbing, roller slide. And only this facility yet free (charges apply; n) is. So it is an indoor play regardless of the weather.
