Yaeyama-yashi of Yonehara, Ishigaki

2.9
Take a walk into a jungle formed by impressively tall palm trees endemic to the island at Yaeyama-yashi of Yonehara. Sited at the base of a mountain, the forest features many species of palm trees, including Yaeyama-yashi, designated a natural treasure. At the beginning of the broad boardwalk, stop by small shops selling juice and shaved ice--ideal refreshments before or after your walk. You can also take a short hike to the observation point that offers a view of the palm trees reaching towards the sky. • Scoured by tourist taxi. We go inside and seen from afar, is not powerful. To worry about families with children because the trail is fairly maintained properly, you can walk. Here alone of more tourist nearby we recommend screwing tourism and other.

  • We on the way to the North from Kabira. No, but parking and free parking are available when it comes to promenade. There are only a small part of Mt. Omoto stricken Sea Palms spread back to the. Was shorter than I expected, but still little and jungle, mosquitoes were thick and. If you have time to shop at the entrance and pay.

  • Recommended in the comments, but the fact it didn't. But I thought I could come, in really nice if you get to the Observatory. Colony Palm made naturally in the wild in the world, three places seems to be. After going here in one of the Iriomote Island, it seems.

Where to stay in Ishigaki

The greatest abundance of accommodations on Ishigaki sit in the city of the same name. Lining the island's south coast, a number of high-rise hotels and resort-style options provide standard to luxury rooms and additional facilities, including restaurants, spas, and pools. Budget-conscious travelers will want to check out the "minshukus" (hostels with private and dormitory-style rooms), generally located in the city, but on streets further back from the sea. The northern coast of the island has its fair share of accommodations too, following the same rules as the south, but without the same breadth of choice.
