  • Here is famous as a representative spot of Ishigaki Island. What is no Observatory, hirakubo peninsula and around the sea and green contrast is best. Personally I like hibiscus ocean views.

  • Great vantage point from which you can enjoy the splendid sea of ishigaki, the neighboring islands. A spectacle of nature. Easy to reach by car, with parking.

  • Best went to the observation deck in several places in the stone wall. It was very relaxing and good Wi-Fi and views of future space.

  • I went there twice on July 6, 2017. When I first drove up, the sky was cloudy. My photos were not that colourful. I then drove on to the deep north of Oshigaki. I could see and smell farm houses on my way. When the sun came out in my return trip, I went up again. Relatively speaking, quite a lot people drove up to the Observation Point. While many took selfies under the pavilion, the place could look prettier from a distance. One of my added photos features that.
  • An observation point with amenities including toilets and vending machines. Beautiful tropical flowers flank the walk up to the deck. More people at this observation point. Free parking is available.
  • nice place to just hang out and admire the coast line of the island
  • 270 degree view of the sea, beaches, and Green hills.
  • Amazing view, beautiful sea and garden, strongly recommend !!!

Where to stay in Ishigaki

The greatest abundance of accommodations on Ishigaki sit in the city of the same name. Lining the island's south coast, a number of high-rise hotels and resort-style options provide standard to luxury rooms and additional facilities, including restaurants, spas, and pools. Budget-conscious travelers will want to check out the "minshukus" (hostels with private and dormitory-style rooms), generally located in the city, but on streets further back from the sea. The northern coast of the island has its fair share of accommodations too, following the same rules as the south, but without the same breadth of choice.
