Kabira Bay, Ishigaki

4.4
Kabira Bay, the most photographed sight on the island, remains noted for its pristine white sands, blue waters, and lush vegetation. Although it's not safe to swim here due to strong currents and the presence of jelly fish, you can enjoy the picturesque vista from land, or take a ride on a glass-bottomed boat to observe the coral reefs and manta rays from the surface of the water. • Second, but never great. Breathtaking blue. It is insanely beautiful. Pity that the swimming ban, played only their feet. I'm out of glass-bottomed boat, but personally, even can be satisfied. Distracting shadows, even if for a long time at all is OK!

  • Very beautiful bay. Lots of tourists tho and no one swam they just took photos. The noisey glass bottom tourist boats ruined a very beautiful place. My wife and I walked around a couple of bays away f...  more »
  • Was overcast but not raining. I couldn't picture the ship floating in the air. It was a little disappointing. Want to revisit

  • Lovely view point overlooking the bay and you can enjoy a nice walk along the waterfront. There are a few places to eat where the bus drops you off but none by the sea. If you’re using public transport check the times before you leave as the buses are quite infrequent!
  • It's a beautiful bay and certainly worthwhile visiting. However, there are a few things to bear in mind (which is why it doesn't get 5 stars!). 1 - there are no beachfront bars or restaurants. The only restaurants are very small and away from the bay, so don't expect a nice view while you eat. 2 - despite seeing MANY glass bottom boats going out, we were turned away from several companies due to "low tide". Potentially because we're western? 3 - no swimming. 4 - public transport to the area is very infrequent. So all you can do really is grab an ice cream and sit on the beach!
  • Breath taking views on the beach. Fun touristy souvenir stores selling blue sea ice cream (yum). We took a ride on one of the glass bottom boats - the trip is a bit abrupt, but you do get to see lots of beautiful fish. We even saw a sea turtle for a solid 3 seconds!
  • Loved it! Calm and beautiful view. You can sit there for hours doing nothing 😀 There's is gogoro battery swap station by the way.. One of the attraction places foe geeks!
  • Beautiful view, maybe the best on Ishigaki but loaded with tourists. Walk a bit on the beach and you might find some peace.
